Some depraved criminal tried to steal the car. He only wrecked the lock but R900 later I know that if I ever find him I would have an uncontrollable urge to go to his house and destroy R900 of his property while screeching (in a demented way), "how do YOU like it when some complete stranger comes and wrecks your stuff?!"
Then I would probably be arrested and carried away by several burly policemen while giggling and gently foaming at the mouth...
I was so upset I had to start a new knitting project to fortify myself. I may also have had a couple of drinks. My grandfather was so surprised to see me drinking anything that he got the barlady to cut off my supply of mellowness.
It's going to be a moebius cowl and the yarn is truly lovely. The photo doesn't do it justice. Yarn is Nurturing Fibres laceweight, colour Evening Sky.
This is something else that's worrying me a little. I have ten balls of Rowan Kid Classic in a pretty forest green that is meant to become a granite stitch jacket for my mother. The thing is, the yarn is kind of pricey and if I should mess it up, it would be my most expensive knitting screw-up ever. I just take it out of the packet and look at it while trying to decide when I'm finally going to just start it already.
After all, I managed just fine with this jacket for my aunt, it came out perfectly. I'll start tomorrow. With a glass of something just in case.
In other news, Alban's socks. I have done more since this photo and the first sock is almost done. His hat is about halfway. When I get bored of grey socks, I've been working on his grey hat instead. It works, I promise.
