Wakkerstroom

Hi

I'm Sheralynn and I'll introduce the kitties this blog is named for in a moment.

This blog is going to cover my knitting (and other fibre arts) and the latest books I've read.

rascal
This is Rascal...
bella
and this is Bella
Rascal visits me in my flat and I take care of Bella when her owners are away - is it cheating not to have my own cat? Rascal likes to sit right on top of my knitting, while Bella not only sits on the knitting, she will also chew through the strand of yarn coming from the skein. It can be a little demoralizing to make five joins in as many minutes so my knitting doesn't grow much around her.

One thing you're never going to see on here is a picture of my stash. It is enormous. I'm sure other knitters wouldn't bat an eye but anyone else will probably send my details to Hoarder's Anonymous while either giggling madly to themselves at my obvious problem or just shaking their heads in stunned disbelief.

I've had a great time today attending Wakkerstroom's Natural Fibre and Handcrafts Festival but I took a lot of photos and have to sort through them before doing a post. I also broke down and bought a pile of yarn - I've got just one thing to say: Shut up. I'm only human. I bet you would have done the same if you were here. I'll get a post up about the festival in the next day or two.

  1. I have seen worse yarn hoards than yours. You don't fulfill a diagnosis for hoarder just yet!
